2007. 04. 16: Brentwood Hotel malacok Almodóvar földjén / Brentwood Hotel cavies in Almodóvar's land

Ma reggel hajnalban a repülőtéren kezdtünk: 6 texel és sheltie tengerimalac utazott Ana Freán Rodriguez spanyol tenyésztőhöz Madridba (http://freandacarballeira.tripod.com). Estére jött meg a hír: minden rendben, az állatok megérkeztek. Remélem, a malacok beváltják majd Ana reményeit, és sok sikert szeretnék kívánni hozzájuk!

We started the day at the airport: 6 texels and shelties flew to Madrid, to a Spanish breeder, Ana Freán Rodriguez (http://freandacarballeira.tripod.com). I received the news in the evening: everything is all right, the animals arrived. I hope they will live up to Ana's expectations, and I would like to wish much success to them!

2007. 04. 09: Hústvéti nyulak / Easter Bunnies!

Húsvétra nagyszerű ajándékot kaptunk: Húsvét hétfőn megszületett Félix első alma egy csodálatos japán színű kasmír nősténytől, Sorayától!! Az öt kölyök tenyésztője Kachichian Zita, akinek ezúton is szeretném megköszönni bizalmát, és sok sikert kívánni a kölykökhöz!  A kölykök itt megtekinthetők: www.makkocska.gportal.hu

We have received fantastic Easter presents: Félix's first litter was born on Easter Monday! The mother is a wonderful Japanese coloured cashmere lady, Soraya. The breeder of the 5 babies is Zita Kachichian (site: www.makkocska.gportal.hu ). I would like to thank Zita for her trust and wish her much success for the babies!

2007. 04. 07: Kyra

Új lakó érkezett a Hotelba: Ducky Piglet Kyra (Guns and Roses from Paradise City - Twister at Brentwood Hotel), egy kék trikolór sheltie nőstény. Kyra nem csak gyönyörű, de nagyon jó fej is, hamar beilleszkedett nálunk. Köszönet érte Juhász Norbertnek és Klaudiának (www.duckypiglet.fw.hu)!

A new guest arrived at the Hotel: Ducky Piglet Kyra (Guns and Roses from Paradise City - Twister at Brentwood Hotel), a slate blue tri sheltie sow. Kyra is not only beautiful, but also has a nice temperament, she has settled in here quickly. Thanks for Norbert and Klaudia Juhász (www.duckypiglet.fw.hu)!

2007. 03: Iontus vom Dreiländereck, Goldoni von Werne

Két nagyszerű német hímet küldtünk Romániába, a Texel Impala tenyészetbe. Iontus és Goldoni is remek sheltie-kölykökről gondoskodott nálunk, a továbbiakban egy-egy fiuk veszi át szerepüket a Hotelben. Remélem, Ioana hozzám hasonlóan meg lesz elégedve velük.

We sent two great German boars to the Texel Impala caviary (Romania). Iontus and Goldoni produced wonderful sheltie babies here, their sons will continue the work at the Hotel. I hope Ioana will be as satisfied with them as I have been.

2007. Enipheus

Hosszas vívódás után úgy döntöttem, hogy nem lesznek peruiak a Hotelben. Bármennyire is szeretném, nincs elég időm és energiám még egy fajtára. De biztos vagyok benne, hogy Enipheus jó helyre került: Szilvi és Péter remekül gondját viselik, aminek bizonyítéka, hogy Enipheus fantasztikus kiállítási győzelmeket tudhat magáénak. Remélem, magához hasonló kiemelkedő kölykökkel hálája meg a Happy Dolls tenyészet gondoskodását (http://www.fw.hu/happydolls/). 

After long considerations, I have decided to give up Peruvians. Even if I would like to have them so much, I simply don't have enough time and energy for another breed. But I am sure Enipheus has a good place now: Szilvi and Péter cake excellent care of him, which is proved by his fantastic show results. I hope he will thank the good care of the Happy Dolls caviary (http://www.fw.hu/happydolls/) with outstanding babies like him.

2006. 08. 23: Hint

Lehet, hogy mégsem Misty az utolsó ezüst-aguti a Hotelben? Misty unokája  (Useful Hint at Brentwood Hotel) pár napja született, és egyszerűen ellenállhatatlan. :o)

May not Misty be the last silver-agouti at the Hotel? Her grand-daughter (Useful Hint at Brentwood Hotel) was born a few days ago, and I am afraid I cannot resist... :o)

2006. 07. 15: Misty

Ma Mistyről készítettem képeket. Misty (January Mist at Brentwood Hotel) egyik nyugdíjasunk, idén volt 4 éves. Ő az utolsó ezüst-aguti a Hotelben. Nem volt sok kölyke, de fia, Berlusconi révén számos unokája született már, és a Lunbakelo tenyészet ezüst-aguti malacainak nagy része is tőle ered.

I took some photos of Misty today. Misty (January Mist at Brentwood Hotel) is in pension already, she was 4 this year. She is the last silver-agouti at the Hotel. She did not have many babies, but thanks to her son Berlusconi, she has many grandchildren already, and most silver-agoutis at Lunabakelo originate from her, too.

2006.07.08. Bernardo

Úgy látszik, Bernardo nem csak nekem tetszik annyira... :o) Első kiállításán Budapesten az alábbi címeket érte el: Champion Váromány (CR), Fajtagyőztes,
Fajtacsoportgyőztes, Junior Best in Show, Best in Show, Best of Best. A serlegek mellett különösen örülök a Nick Emese által festett csodálatos texel-festménynek (Fajtacsoportgyőztes-különdíj).

It seems that not only I like Bernardo so much... :o) At his first show in Budapest, he won the following titles: Champion Recommendation (CR), Best of Breed, Best of Group, Junior Best in Show, Best in Show, Best of Best. I like to cup, but I especially love the wonderful texel painting (special prize for the Best of Group win) made by Emese Nick.

2006. 06. 23. Russell

Ma elveszettünk egy nagyszerű malacot: meghalt egyik nagy öregünk, Russell. Ha szeretnél olvasni róla, klikkelj ide.

2006. 06. 20. Reddie
 

Ma egy "nyugdíjast" fotóztam: Red Royal vom Mozartweg, perui nőstény (2002, tenyésztő: Hedwig Geyer (A).

Reddie az első, és Enipheus érkezéséig egyetleg perui volt a Hotelben. Reddie-nek köszönhetem, hogy megkedveltem ezt a nagyszerű fajtát. Különleges színéről (árnyalt vörös) csak olvastam, de nem láttam még más tengerimalacon.

Ma két másik öreggel, Upival és Water-rel él együtt a legnagyobb békességben.

Before Enipheus, Reddie was the first and only peruvian at the Hotel. I thank her that peruvians have become one of my favourite breeds. I only read about her special colour (shaded red), but I have not seen it on any other cavy.

She now lives in harmony with two other older ladies: Upi and Water.

2006.06.12. Bernardo

Ma sikerült néhány fényképet készíteni Bernardo-ról. Lefényképeztem "kétlábon" is, hogy a színét jobban lehessen látni. :o)
 

I could take some photos of Bernardo today. I photographed him "standing", too, his colour shows off better like that. :o)

2006.06.02. Új hímek érkeztek a Hotelbe! / New boars arrived at the Hotel!

Ma Ausztriába látogattunk. Hálás köszönet Sonja Eckernek és Alexandra Dapontnak, akik lehetővé tették, hogy ismét különleges állatokkal gazdagodjunk! Ismét három remek hímet sikerült importálnunk.
 

We were in Austria today. Our special thanks to Sonja Ecker and Alexandra Dapont who made me possible to get wonderful animals again! I imported three boars this time.

Iontus vom Dreiländereck - vörös-fehér sheltie / red-white sheltie

A Dreiländereck tenyészet gönyörű texeleit és sheltie-jeit mindig csodálattal néztem. Amikor nemrégiben abbahagyták a tenyésztést, úgy éreztem, egy különleges korszak zárult le: legnevesebb hímjüket, Red Rock Ionikos-t ivartalanították, és csak néhány idősebb nőstényt tartottak meg kedvencnek. Ezért különösen örültem, amikor kiderült: enyém lehet Ionikos egyik utolsó fia: Iontus. Még csak egy lakli kamasz, de már határozottan mutatja az a típust, színintenzitást és szőrtömeget, ami törzskönyve alapján elvárható.
 

I have always admired the Dreiländereck texels and shelties. When they stopped breeding, I felt that a special era ended. Their most famous boar Red Rock Ionikos was neutered, and only a few elder sows were kept as pets. So, I was very pleased when I learned that I can get one of Ionikos' last sons: Iontus. He is just a teenager changing all over, but he definitely shows the type, colour intensity and hair quantity which can be expected from his pedigree.

Rammsteinnek azért örülök különösen, mert egy legendás hímre, MaJa's Yaris-ra történt vonaltenyésztésből származik. Yaris utolsó hónapjait nálam tölthette, ezért is különösen kedves nekem. Remélem, idővel unokája talán nyomdokaiba lép...
 

I was very pleased to get Rammstein, because he comes form a linebreeding to a legendary boar, MaJa's Yaris. Yaris could spend his last months with us, so he is very special to me. I hope that his grandson can keep the flag flying for him...

Az első perui tenyészhím a Brentwood Hotelben!

Ősei a német Uplengener tenyészetből származnak, akik véleményem szerint ma az egyik legjobb perui vonalat képviselik. Remélhetőleg javít majd valamelyest kék texeleink színén, és talán a mostanában induló perui-tenyésztők is tudják majd használni valamire... :o)
 

He is the first peruvian boar at Brentwood Hotel!

His ancestors come from the German Uplengener caviary, which - I think - has one of today's best peruvian lines. Hopefully, he will improve the colour of my slate blue texel's a bit, and maybe the new peruvian breeders can use him somehow, too... :o)
